I needed a masculine birthday card recently, but hit a creative block in thinking up a card design. Luckily for me, the current Lawnscaping challenge had the perfect solution for my dilemma:
Genius!! Here is the first of the 2 cards I created for this challenge:
I used the second largest Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables to die cut a focal panel from Neenah Solar White cardstock. I stamped the bird from Lawn Fawn’s Year Four in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the focal panel and also on a post-it note to create a mask. I fussy cut the mask, placed it over the bird, then stamped the hippo underneath the bird and created a mask for the hippo. I then utilized the hippo mask and stamped the remaining two hippos. I colored in the bird and hippo with COPIC Sketch Markers (individual colors are listed below) and drew over the eyes with a black Sakura Jelly Rolly gel pen.
I stamped the sentiment from Year Four in Lawn Fawn Fish Tank ink and the music notes using Lawn Fawn Black Licorice ink.
I die cut the background panel from Amy Tangerine’s Stitched 6 x 6 paper pad using the largest Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles Stackables die then adhered all of the panels with Tombow Mono Multi glue.
I am also submitting this card to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Cute and Cuddly).
Thanks for stopping by!!
Other supplies: COPIC Sketch Markers (BG23, BG34, YR23, W1, W3, W5), Sakura Jelly Roll 08 Black gel pen
