Time to party

I recently picked up a ton of helpful cardmaking tips and tricks while watching the videos posted in the “Save the Crafty YouTuber” video hop and decided to put some of those suggestions to the test with this card project. Continue reading

Birthday Flowers

I’m so glad my staycation this year coincided with the 2018 Winter Olympics.  Of course, that did mean that I didn’t accomplish much on my long vacation to-do-list unless I could do it in front of the tv!  The MFT 2018 Creative Olympics Event #4: Speed Cardmaking challenge fit in perfectly with my schedule today and I was able to create the following card: Continue reading

2018 MVP Series #1: Bonjour

As the day of the big game approaches, I’ve been wondering who will be named the NFL Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Year and of course, whether or not Tom Brady will bring home another MVP award.  (I’m rooting for you Drew Brees!!)  This got me to thinking about what were the MVPs — most valuable products — in my crafty stash.   There are a few stamp sets that I find myself reaching for over and over again and I thought it would be fun to do a short card series featuring some of my favorite older stamp sets. Mosaic Birthday

Birthday Wishes

I’m gearing up for a busy holiday season full of cardmaking!  I’ve been brainstorming ideas for my upcoming 2017 Holiday Card Series, but put a pause on that today to create the card below.  This week at work we will be celebrating Halloween and the birthdays of 2 of my coworkers (one of whom was actually born on Halloween!)  I’m anticipating fun times and yummy treats ahead!! Happy Purr-thday

This card has been over a week in the making…I began working on it last week with the intention of submitting it to both MFT’s Wednesday Sketch Challenge and Color Challenges, but missed the entry deadline for the sketch challenge.  (I did include the sketch I followed below for completeness even though I didn’t enter that challenge.)
