Graduation season is quickly approaching…I have two cousins who are members of the Class of 2017 and will be closing out their high school years in just a few weeks. This motivated me to participate in the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and I came up with a clean and simple design that I really like: Continue reading
We’ve had a flurry of new babies among my female coworkers within the last year, but recently one of my male coworkers welcomed his first son into his family! Here is the card I made for the baby shower thrown in his honor at work:
I colored the images with COPIC markers (individual colors are listed below) then cut them out with their coordinating dies. I die cut the stitched film strip from white cardstock then blended on Mama Elephant pigment inks in Fresh Mint and Rainwater. I also stamped the sentiment in the the same two pigment ink colors using my MISTI to try to achieve a gradient look.
I am submitting this card to the current SSS Flickr Challenge (Something New = new baby).
Thanks for stopping by!!
Other supplies: COPIC Sketch Markers (Cat: E04, E15, E31, E33, E37, R20; Bunny: N0, N2, R20; Monkey: E25, E29, E31, E33)
I have been itching to use the Mama Elephant Honey Bunny and Simon Says Stamp Congratulations stamp sets together for a wedding card, and finally managed to ink them both up! My card design is a very literal interpretation of the the sketch from the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge:
I began my creating a focal panel from a pearlescent cream cardstock using the stitched rectangle die from WPlus9’s Gift Card Layers dies. I also trimmed a strip of Bazzill Cotton Candy cardstock to 1.75″ x 6″, then used the same stitched rectangle die to trim the length of the strip to 5.5″ and add some stitching detail to both ends. I used the second largest Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles die to cut out a full moon from white vellum.
Next, I stamped the images from Honey Bunny onto Neenah Solar White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored in the images with COPIC Sketch Markers (individual colors used are listed below). I stamped the heart image with Memento Luxe Love Letter and Rose Bud inks. When all of the images were dry, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
I stamped the sentiment from SSS Congratulations onto the pink sentiment strip in Versamark ink, then heat embossed it with Ranger Silver embossing powder.
I used a ZIG 2-Way Glue pen to add glue only to the middle of the vellum circle, then adhered the circle directly to the focal panel. I glued the pink sentiment strip over the bottom of the circle using Tombow Mono Multi glue then placed the bunny couple onto the sentiment strip so that it looks like they’re highlighted by a full moon. I adhered the bunnies’ accessories with Ranger Multi Matte Medium and the ZIG glue pen.
Finally, I placed the two hearts in the upper left corner of the card front and added two coats of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen to each heart.

One of my favorite cousins is getting married in a few weeks and I have the honor of serving as one of her bridesmaids. I decided to create an elegant wedding card for her using her wedding color palette — navy blue and blush pink with gold accents. Continue reading
