Whooo’s 24?

When my cousin Peter was little, one of his favorite toys was a Beanie Baby owl.  He recently turned 24, and I plan to give him this card when he returns home for a quick visit later this month before he moves on to his next U.S. Air Force assignment.

I created my own stencil using My Favorite Things High-Rise Numbers dies and blended in Peacock Feathers Distress Ink for an ombré look.  I stamped the custom sentiment (created using Lawn Fawn Milo’s ABCs) and Shadow the owl (from Purple Onion Designs) in Versafine Onyx Black ink, then colored Shadow with Prismacolor pencils.  The greeting inside the card is from Simon Says Stamp Hello You and was stamped with Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue and Versafine Onyx Black inks.

I will be submitting this card for the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Things That Fly), Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #14 (Clean and Simple, One Layer), and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge (Lions and Lambs).
