Happy Howloween

I can always count on a fun day at work on Halloween.  The administration throws a celebration for all of the employees and hosts a lunch with costume and pumpkin carving contests.  Plus it’s one of my coworkers’ birthdays!!

Happy (belated) Mother’s day!  This is the card I made for my mom this year, which features some of her favorite things (cats, roses, and jewelry) and one of my favorite techniques — ink blending!

Today’s card was inspired by a technique Kristina Werner recently shared using Distress Inks to stamp images then adding water to color them in.  That WAS the plan for this card, but the images stamped much more solidly than I expected!  (It seems so odd to “complain” about solid stamping, lol!)
